Ok.. this just started happening yesterday, My climate control was working perfectly but since yesterday on Max heat or any other warm setting it was freezing - and I was getting a bit annoyed so I soothed this by planting my foot to the ground and all of a sudden I had warmth whilst driving fast... as soon as I got stuck in traffic it started to get freezing again... so... any ideas? Has someone had a similar problem? Water Pump? Blockage?? Any help would be appreciated

Hmm, when I had that problem with my UZZ30 it was early warning signs that a gasket was on the way out. When I finally tracked down where the leak was it was a huge job to fix it. I was driving around for about a month constantly re-filling my coolant every time the heat dissapeared from the heater.

That sounds scary.. head gasket was it? or something else.. I will keep my eye on it and hopefully it isn't anything serious.. thanks for all the feedback guys.

No, it was an o-ring gasket somewhere near the water pump. It was covered by the mechanical insurance I had, so I have no idea what it cost to fix other than the mechanic told me he'd spent the better part of a day on it.
