Hi Guys,
I have my car booked in for a new heater matrix to be fitted in a couple of weeks but need to use the car in the meantime- the matrix is leaking big time- could someone please tell me how to by pass the matrix- as a short term fix- I've done a search and seen some posts on the VSV valve but I'm still not 100% sure- its a 93 TT. Thanks. Peter.

The VSV is just in front of the passenger under the bonnet. You should be able to see the heater water hoses going back through the firewall. You need to have it so the hoses to the engine connect and loop back instead of sending water though the matrix section.
This is probably a bad description as it's done in a hurry, but should become clear if you have a look at it.

Thanks Peter- I can see the two hoses going through the bulkhead- so do I disconnect them at this point and then join them together here so they don't go through the bulkhead any longer but still go through the VSV valve?
