AC seems to blow cold first thing in the morning and then hot only after that.

I have checked and the AC compressor is spinning, pushing the AC button on and off activates the compressor and it stays running whilst it's on, so my assumption there is that there is enough gas and pressure otherwise the compressor wouldn't come on.

I checked the heater valve and it is moving in and out when I go from hot to cold, my initial thoughts were that perhaps it's not moving away from hot but it appears to be.

The heater on full hot is very hot but the cold air is warmer than outside air, it's cooler to wind down the windows than have the AC running.

Car is a UZZ30, is there a diag function to check all the sensors that would affect heat output?

Matt.

Will do Evan.

I assume the pressures are okay as the compressor is coming on okay but will do.

Cheers

Yes, my compressor still runs when gas is low, but doesn't maintain cool air.
I have found where the system is leaking.

Ass. Regassing with R12 isn't possible anymore so that means a conversion to R134a

It's prolly got 134a in it anyway. Not a problem either way.

I did a gas check, it's still R12 that was in there 12 months ago.

Ofcourse regassing is possible with R12, as long as you can find the gas.

A good Alternative is Hychill, it's a Hydrocarbon blend that performs better than R134a, requires no conversion so it's a drop in
