Recently I noticed what appears to be condensation coming from my air con vents, it has progressed to a point where the car now mists up completely inside and cant be driven with the climate control on, it seems to be heating and cooling but not demisting and this mist from the vents is a worry, local aircon guy has no idea or doesnt want to know about it, I have owned the car for 10 yrs and have kept it in excellent condition spending thousands on it, which is fine, but am stumped with this one, any ideas, I am on the Gold Coast, Qld.

Leon, as per email it's most likely the evaporator drain is blocked. Local aircon guy should have thought of that.

when they replaced the cat's on mine for compliance they screwed up the evap drain and I had fogging issues, so defiantly worth checking!

that or may have a heater core leak or possible build up of bacteria in the system.
try running some antibacterial air con spray through it. you really should do it every few months the bacteria builds up pretty quick they love the vents as nice temperature and moisture.
wurth has a spray you spray through the intake vent at the back of the bonnet and drags it through system. your car will smell like alcohol for a few minutes but goes away.

Thanks for the help guys, I ran my air on "cold" for 15 minutes to see if the drainage pipe was working, returned and found water under the vehicle, whatever may have been there may have washed out, I then sprayed "Glen 20" into the air inlets, went for a drive, all good...have been testing for two days now still no sign of problems, ordered some new aircon filters, will fit those Monday. My pride and joy returned to its former glory. Peter and Aaron, once again , thanks for the help.

no worries leon good to see it may be fixed. Try run some more through it every week or so for a while to make sure all the bacteria is dead then do it everynow and then to keep it away.
Also too was thinking if the filters are missing the evaportor may be blocked with leaves. Also if it does it again see if there is any coolant in the drained water as possible heater core leak

Coolant in the drained water from the evaporator drain?, I don't think so.

You'll probably get coolant on your carpet if it's a leaky heater core
