After sifting through the information and discussion threads here i have established that I am receiving an A/C compressor lock warning(ie;the A/C indicator light is flashing) and subsequently the system is now longer refrigerating(cooling).
How or what needs to be done to rectify this warning and get the system functioning again.
Note; That the system was working perfectly for approximately 6 hours before it suddenly faulted out and the indicator began flashing.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Steve.

What about disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It might reset all the air con ecu(and some others at the same time). Just like i need to reboot my PC every now and then!

Sorry guys been a bit busy this week. No the system still runs,I can switch it on and off change the temperature setting which affects the fans' speed but the system does not refrigerate at all. If I switch the system off for a few minutes and then switch it back on the A/C light stops blinking but the system still doesn't cool. Will try disconnecting the battery over the weekend just to see if it makes any difference.

Ok,
So Compressor Kicks in... But does not get cool inside?
Feel the Low side pipe (Bigger one) coming out of firewall, is it cold?
You may be low on gas or a problem in your a/c system. Get to a reputable A/C Workshop (not Joe Bloggs Brakes and A/C Service), get them to check the pressures on your A/C System while running and see what they recommend.

Yeah thanks Boris that was the basic plan of attack next, I just thought I'd see if there was a simpler fix.It just seemed weird that one minute it was working perfectly the next it wasn't, literally, like two minutes. Anyway thanks for the help its appreciated will post the solution when I find it.cheers
I dont know if you have done much stereo work on your car, but after many years of abuse pulling the AC unit in and out to get to the wiring, my AC had this error. I traced it down to the exact signal wire for the lock sensor had ever so slightly fallen out of the AC Harness connector, so the AC unit kept pulling an AC Lock sensor error.
