No idea I have never tried, was a while since I opened up a Denso 10PA Compressor, I think my bearings are worn, mine whines like a supercharger, it sounds great though.
I made a big mistake, turns out I read the part numbers wrong, apologies to those who went to Ashdown Ingram or other places. The actual part number is :
147200-3613
And this is the same as the one for the 2jz-ge SC300, I've looked at pictures too and they look the same.
It looks that there is also revised compressors such as
147200-3614 147200-3615 147200-3616
Not sure what differences are but I would just go for a SC300 one. I cant say 100% it is the same one but from a bit of searching it seems that the SC300 has the same part numbers.
Cooldrive can get the compressors in for $600 just let them know of the part number 147200-3613 , so not quite the cheap a/c compressor option. So if they are correct in saying they have that one, it should be the correct one, I cannot confirm myself as I have not bought one from them.
Other than that you can get a Reman 2jz-ge compressor from Ebay if you want the cheap option.
Other than that you can get in touch with a place such as All Auto Air Compressors, Orion or CAR who do compressor rebuilds.
Hi guys, any idea if a 1992 SC400's A/C compressor kit will be able to fit my 1991 SC400? Have issues trying to get the compressor number for confirmation.
Just got mine from coolzoneacparts from ebay. It came with a faulty bearing that the mechanic changed for me at a small cost, but after installation the compressor's awesome.
Following that, after i updated coolzoneacparts of the fault, i was refunded the cost of changing the bearing.
