More like a Downgrade the factory Lexus/Toyota Climate Control unit is great and functional looking to get 0-60mph readings is not worth changing the whole unit.

Interesting...I wonder how much it'll be. They say they've kept it "deliberately rough" to avoid theft. It'd want to get much better looking in the production version.

If we had OBDII then I could see it being more useful (could be a built-in Scantool for instance), but really if you want G-meters and 0.60/100 timers in your dash you go buy a GTR.
That, and the pre-prod version looks ugly, so much wasted space and the exposed USB/SD ports just look out of place

I agree, the pre-production version looks hideous. The interface is garish and awful, the g-meters and all that are a load of rubbish.
They say that that interface is not final, so, if they came out with one that didn't look like a children's toy, it might deal with the features you miss from removing the EMV and going for some poxy stereo.

To be fair, I can imagine the graphics/bezel changing for a production model, but the big thing for me is all the wasted space - if they just reduced the height of the screen a little they could make it much wider to fill in the space much better.
