I've been having a bit of trouble with the air con in my UZZ31. It had the seals let go in the original compressor, so I had I replaced with a recon item. After about 2 or 3 weeks this compressor got real noisy in the bearings, or so it sounded to me. So I got another recon item under warranty, had it gassed and fitted with a new filter and now after less thana week the compressor is playing up again. When I first turn it on it will engage for about a second and then disengage for about 5 seconds. After a while (2 minutes) it will engage for longer and make cold air. Then another 2 minutes later it will go back to cycling in for only a second or so and no more cold air. When it is engaged the idle will go from 700-800 back to 500rpm, like it is working hard to turn the compressor. Anyone have any ideas, because I'm getting a bit sick of giving my aircon guy money to only have it fixed for a week at a time. Is he missing anything?

Thanks. I've managed to get onto another air con bloke here and he said he's happy to have a look, just that he's out of town for 3 weeks. Can be tough finding people in a small town in the middle of nowhere!! I will try to live without the air con for 3 weeks anyway, but if I'm still having trouble and the offer still stands a lend would be fantastic. Cheers
