i recently had my radiator replaced, during the job the workshop managed to blowup my air-con.

a visit to an auto electrician and they tell me its a pressure release switch/valve or something like that, that's attached to the compressor somewhere.

i've been told that you can't buy these anywhere and i can ring a million wreckers and try get lucky or buy a whole new compressor.

really hoping somewhere here might know where i can just find a new one to buy =)

Dude, i just pulled my radiator out, and re-installed it. But i didn't have to do a thing with any part of the aircon system. Sounds a bit fishy. Hope the workshop intend to compensate you in some way.
A new compressor is expensive, there is bound to be a second hand one somewhere on the forum here.

Get a reconditioned compressor from USA for a reasonable price.

Any chance it's just low on gas?

Careful with reconditioned compressors, some of them hardly have any new parts in them, it's best off to get a new compressor.

I can't see how the workshop managed to destroy the compressor, if anything had caused an unstable high pressure in the system the switches would turn the system off.

I think I do remember they have a relief valve on the top plate and this is going to be Soarer specific so a new compressor wont have it which is not too much of an issue so long as the high pressure switches are working well.
