Where can i get these filters for soarers from for the A/C... i'm pretty sure i need to replace mine as if i leave mine on for 10mins it smells like i smoked 20packs of cigarettes. Are they easy to clean?

Nilhan, I just cleaned mine on the weekend. It's the easiest piece of maintenance you'll ever do on a car. Makes a HUGE change. You'll get a fright when you pull the filter out and see just how black it is. I'm still ordering new ones though, $98.00 for the pair.

Took it out and tried cleaning it this morning. Man that thing was covered in soot it was pretty much all black. I put detergent on it and even after going through 6-7 handee ultra cloths i'm still pulling off soot. It is impossible to fully clean?

Also, Anyone who has previously replaced your filters, It would be worthwile cleaning them perhaps every coupla months. I checked mine today, fitted in November, done 10K, they were full of crap, including a big spider, and starting to go black.

What is affect of removing the filter? I did clean them but I'm not happy with the result I was planning to remove them just until I can get new ones sometime next week.

Hi guys, this is my first post Only joined about a month ago, not sure if ill get a reply as the last post on this thread is from 2006 lol I've owned my 95 UZZ31 for a good 5 years now. It's a neat little ride. But I have neglected it as I haven't done half the things that everyone on this forum have completed. So I'm starting to refurbish the entire car. I wanted to get rid of the Jap smog smell that's always in my car as the wife can't stand it, neither can I, I'm gonna purchase the new filters, I wanted to know are the 2 filters at the front the only ones in the car? Also should I turn the ac on full speed to clear the flow out before I put the new ones in? Should I scent the new ones with perfume ? Has anyone replaced them and had success in having the car smell like new ? Many thanks to Peter for accepting my profile and the soarer tips thread. Just reset the ECU today and its running very smooth . Cheers mate!

Neither of my cars had much smell when I got them, so can't offer much help. Perhaps remove and try cleaning the old ones, not for the sake of getting them clean, but to get a sense of how much muck is in there. I don't think running the fan will make much difference. Possibly the A/C evaporator may have collected some muck as well, not too sure what you could do about that though. Good luck with it.
