Can anyone tell me the best way to get a replacement Compressor for a 2001 LTD

If you're going the s/h route be sure to check whether you need one with a speed sensor or not, some of us on this site have been caught out in that regard. Also check whether you need to replace the clutch on it as the price quoted for a new compressor will be sans clutch.

if is a seized compressor can be reco but noisy slapy piston.
if used you need to reco all the seal to a R13A before installation. as hardly anyone can benchtest commpressor they need to a 150psi to 200psi as the shaft seal is the hardest i stuff it twice made of carbon & can crack fingers X
and last its new if you got the bread.
