Were those 6 cars 'actives' Don? Did they bring those 6 cars with them to do the commercial and if so were they sold off here so that they didn't have the cost of taking them back, in which case they wouldn't actually be 'new'?

Dave, When I contacted Toyota NZ yonks ago, all they said was that there were 6 NEW Ltd's sold in NZ, but they didn't know whether THEY were Actives or not, BUT they thought that the one(s) that were shown in the clips above WERE actives (x2) that were shipped over for the filming of the advertisment, but they didn't know whether they went back to Japan, or were sold off in NZ.
Or quite possibly, as was common, one of them MAY have been given to the Toyota NZ MD to drive around in
I didn't take it any further than that, as it was "Old news" as far as Toyota NZ were concerned, and they wern't overly interested in the whole Soarer "Thing" anyway.

Maybe the plates were 'borrowed' and the car was on trader plates, would it really be worth registering the car for 1 day's filming if it was going to be shipped back to jp
