Hi guys, Just curious that under the specification of a V8 1UZ-FE, its written that makes 191 Killowatts and 91-93 models make around 180 Killowatts . But i have seen many members stating that the dyno report said it makes 140-160 Killowatts. Why is that. what makes the performance down by 50 Kws.

You will find that the majority (if not all from the ones I've seen) of dyno charts displayed on the site are for rear wheel killowatts (rwkw).
This differs from the actual engine output due to all the parasitic losses between the engine and the wheels. These losses are things like transmission, air-con etc.
The earlier 1UZ FE models made around 191kw while later models made a little more with a higher compression with 194kw. The VVT-i model had a bit more still with 216kw.

A few years ago I analysed the average base power and gains from various modifications from dyno data published on a Soarer site (I forget which one at the moment). The average for unmodified 12-14 year-old V8s was 128 rwkw. Straightforward mods will bring this into the 140-160 rwkw range.

Hmmm.. Thanks for the reply guys..anyways the stock is good enough at the moment, nice to drive and quick enough for me. i tried the other day it did 0-60km/h in 3.78 secs and 0-100km/h in 6.54 which is not bad at all for me. Thanks Guys
