Found these 2 great articles on the history of the Soarer and SC coupe. Thought I'd post them here in case anyone hasn't seen them before.

Very interesting reading about their goals and design challenges they faced.

Very recent article on the Soarer's history:

The original design!

Both the left and middle cars are suppose to be Soarers?

Scott - No, just the middle one, I believe.

I wonder if it's owned by Jay Leno.

I've seen the first link before, so expect someone on the forum must have posted it, but I've now PDF'd the 2nd link for reading later.

Thanks.

The left one is supposed to be the Mark IV Supra I think.

Nice clean concept but looks weird without the separate high beams!

Yeah didn't notice that somebody else had posted the first link before. This section is completely opposite to the rest of the forum and puts the latest threads at the bottom instead haha.

Just this one i think, Toyota also put a small rear door on passengers side only, made it easy to enter rear seats. You can see two "B" posts on pass side

Cool. Where is it? I went to Japan and went through a few Toyota museums and did not come across this.
