Nonetheless, the car has been down, and I'm in the process of building the motor. I'm working on a custom 3.3 stroker motor, BIG custom cams, headwork, +1mm valves, and a larger turbo Just wanted to keep everyone up to date on my build.
It's been very slow, due to custom rods/pistons/etc.. but it's slowly coming together. I'm hoping to have the car back together and on the dyno by end of march beginning of april at latest. Shooting for an 8 second pass and 1200+rwhp.
Glen, as for the stroker, the majority has been put together parts wise by myself and Larry (Sound Performance). I'm also looking to be testing out a newer 88mm turbo setup, GT55. With billet mains, some other tricks, we'll be shooting for around 1300rwhp on boost.
I'm using an AEM ems and love it!

Simon,
Sounds like your setting up a pretty cool track car! For shocks/coilovers, I'm using TEIN SS coilovers, they have responded really well so far to some sub 1.4 60fts and the car squats HARD. I have heard that the hks coilovers are another wonderful choice. Those are the only 2 I truly have read up on for dragging purposes. I also love the streetability of my TEIN's as well. If you have any other questions, just let me know

just to tease, here is a picture of my newly coated SP racing header

Simon, in a sense. We will offset grind the stock gte crank, but it does require custom rods and pistons. My only real concern is the actual strength of the stock crank after machining some material off the journals, but the 2j crank is VERY beefy from the factory.
