Hi guys, well my rattly old dunger is getting the better of me and I am doing some work to try to weed the noises out. I have 2 rattles in my car, one is near the rear window somewhere, the main one is the rear passenger corner of my sunroof over rough roads. Now there is a thread posted about sunroof rattles with adjustment specifications, elsewhere on this site.... but to be honest, it's not for the rattle issue, just the 'placement' of the glass itself. Now I have found the cause of the rattle, but I can't at this stage find spares. I will source a supplier soon and post my findings. For now, this is how you can do a band-aid fix.
There are 2 'grip' clips each end of the internal side covers. Pull the rear of the covers straight down to pop the rear clip then slowly work the front clip down. Don't pull sideways or you will snap the tags. With them off you will see 3x M10 Head Nuts, undo them and the glass can be pushed up. Do it slowly because you may drop the shims.

Now, if you tilt the sunroof up (with glass removed) you will see the two sunroof mount arms get pushed up. When these arms are in the down position they sit on a soft rubber disc. I guess with time this disc has become distorted.
The band-aid fix I did was to roll the disc 180 degrees. I understand the flat edge will get worked back up, hopefully I will have sourced a new one by then.

Never gone into the forum that way. Always just hit last day and scan. Plus even if I did I wouldn't have thought that this was that interesting Nah, it's all good. Peter will probably just wipe away my silly posts and hopefully those feet.
