Hello everyone,
I am Sarah, i don't own a soarer, however my boyfriend does. I am looking to learn more about them and what all the technical terms are, what your meant to use on them and helpful hints like that!
I do know the basic stuff, like what petrol it takes and a bit about the engine, but any other helpful tips to keep my skills/knowledge up to date would be excellent!!

I know it sounds funny, but yes i know very little about cars!

Hard to know where to start, but there is a wealth of information here, just that sometimes it get's buried beneath the chatter :-)

What you need to know is that V8's are good for V8 owners and TT's are good for TT owners.

lol, very nicely put Peter.

Hi Sarah and welcome to Soarer Central. Hope your stay here is pleasant. I myself am too learning about Soarers'.

I think the easiest way to tackle the problem you are having but learning about what you can easily see. I guess start from inside the cabin and from there on work outside.

You will find generally there are patterns on how soarer's are packaged and so forth. As Peter said this place is definitely a wealth of info and you will find links to outside this place which will also be a wealth of info.

Once you find what is interesting just do a search here and you will find it generally would yield good results with relevant information.

And that there is a minority out there who still own a Soarer- neither V8 nor turbo:-) Speaking of course, of the mighty 3.0 naturally aspirated six, an absolute gem of a car especially in VVTi (variable valve timing) guise.

Oh, and welcome, Sarah. Hope you learn heaps, I have, a great forum!

Get him to let you do the next oil and filter change. Always a good place to start.
