OK guys this is how to bleed these buggers once and for all....you can also use the same method to flush out your reservoir after you have cleaned all the crud out of the bottom with a good quality degreaser (take you time doing this and don't poke anything inside or risk damaging the fine filter inside) don't pull it apart either always seem to leak afterwards.
Now I'll try and explain the method:-

Materials required

1) Approx 150 mm of 8mm id rubber hose one end must be plugged. (refer pic blue hose)
2) One metre of rubber hose approx 16 mm id.
3) Plastic bucket or drum.
4) 2lt coke bottle with the bottom cut out and a hole punched through the screw cap to the same diameter as the (id) of bottle and leave it screwed to the bottle.
5) Good quality masking tape 25mm.
6) 4ltr bottle of dextron III or equivalent.

a) Remove the reservoir cap and thoroughly clean the top of reservoir (free of any oil).

b) Place the coke bottle upside down into the reservoir the cap should be nice snug fit into the top, now tape the neck to the reservoir securely so the bottle will sit absolutely firm and upright with no leaks when filled with oil.
(very important)

c) Now remove the return hose off the reservoir. (the small one) As you do this immediately place your index finger over the reservoir outlet pipe to stop oil running all over the place.

d) Then use the 150mm plugged 8mm pipe to slip over the outlet, this will stop oil flow from the reservoir.

e) Then slip the larger hose (1 metre length) over the return line you have pulled off the reservoir (this should be a tight fit) otherwise oil will leak out.

f) Place the end of the this line in an old bucket.

g) Fill the coke bottle with new Dextron III.

h) Start your engine and let run, switching off when the oil level gets to the end of bottle, DO NOT OVER RUN. PLEASE PLEASE.

i) Repeat this until you are satisfied all the old oil is through the system and all air is passed through also.

j) You can also turn steering from lock to lock whilst flushing, making sure you kill the motor immediately when the level drops to the end of the bottle.

k) When fully flushed remove bottle and reinstate the return line to the reservoir, JOB DONE.

l) You may have to remove a little oil out of the reservoir to achieve the correct level.

This procedure works 100%.
