If it didn't cost so much, I'd LOVE to do that one day.

Even still, driving coast to coast across the USA has been on my to-do list of life for a very long time.

I went to the USA last year and hired a Mitsubishi convertible (3L V6) and drove from LA up to San Francisco.

A pretty awesome drive (especially when the girl drives for the last 4 hours and you kick back with 12 Coronas and a bucket of ice).

It's much like our Great Ocean Rd drive (which I've done 4 times) but of course it's in USA. You find funny little places like San Jose (so now I know the way to San Jose muahahahaha) and Monterey.

Would also like to do the coast to coast USA drive and take in some Route 66. mmmmmm next year.... maybe in a Viper...

Route 66 is a bit patchy nowadays - did it a few years back in a late model convertible mustang between LA and Vegas, but some serious sections missing. Plus all those crazy yanks were driving on the wrong side of the road!

ALSC trip to USA in 2007? Interest?

I can't even tell if I'm serious at the moment. Would make for one hell of a trip I'm sure.

Hey,

I can host a HUGE party for the ALSC members. Driving from LA to SF is a very senic (spelling) drive. It cruises right along with the coast. Monterey is a very nice and kick back city.

Highly welcome Aussies to the US. Neil, pack your bags and take your girl along or leave her home and pick up some girls in the US.

A friend of mine and me are going to go there and buy a couple bikes and cruise coast to coast, we both have family dotted all over, will be an awesome few weeks, David we will be spending some time in California as we both have family there and more than likely will land in LAX, would be great to swing by and check out your car - will let you know closer to the time, possibly end of this year beginning of next

It looks like a pretty impressive show - we were watching a doco on Foxtel last night which had a few shots of the SEMA show at the end - looks like it would be awesome to go to.

So people, is it too outa touch with reality to think that maybe, just maybe we might get serious (For a minute, at least), and SERIOUSLY think about doing an en'masse trip to the US?.

Cost more for me, coz I'm in The Centre of the Universe, or for those that don't know NEW ZEALAND!
