Hi all, have been missing a little lately due to work. Managed to sell the old Fairmont I had but then had a brain explosion and purchased a R33 Skyline (stock standard auto). as its a 2 door, the family have finally got sick of the "new car" and want something with 4 doors. I have found a Celsior here http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?total_rec=3&selected_region=0&price_min=10000&price_max=20000&vehicle_id =2985442&selected_model=9&state_id=7¤t_rec=2&search_distance=25&model_id=4674&used_rec=2&searc h_type=20&make_id=8&category_id=3
the guy is willing to do a straight swap. Can anyone give me some honest opinions about this?

Looks to be quite tidy, 132,000kms is reasonably good and doesn’t look over done modified. Wheels are quite a nice match with the celsior too.
However Id look into how much its been lowered with the Airbag controller as this can effect the life of the 16 year old airbags from what I’ve read... Causes them to split apparently and it looks pretty low!
C-F pack model too, which is nice. However reading through it appears he’s put and After market CD player in it, from what I know this will cause the rear seat Audio controls to not work, I find things like that can take away the stock originality and function of the car which is a bit of a shame.
Even still far better than a R33 as far as Im concerned but up to you, If do it if he was wanting a straight swap if everything was working on the car. However depends how much you purchased the Skyline for and what kind of motor its got 2l or 2.5?

Thanks Mike, the Skyline is a 25DET with just on 102,000k's and drive great but the 2 doors have become a pain. I didnt notice the CD player but will look into it further as well as the hight. Thanks again for the feedback, as much as I want to just go and do it, I am still a bit hesitant about making the jump into one of these. I have read that they are extremely comfortable to drive also.

From the pictures looks rather good for the age bit of expected wear on the drivers seat trim, much better than the one I looked at in March which was a 1992 and ALOT better than a limited soarer I looked at after it..
Wow thats pretty good! a GTS25-T they are quite a decent car. Even still meh Id have a Celsior any day over one of those, nothing gives me that wow fealing other than a celsior or a soarer.
Just make sure you have the car checked out by an expert or something as Id hate to lose a mint Gts25t for an older car with problems!
