| Finally got the S/S filter adaptor done and fitted , went straight in first go , will alter the angle just a bit to centralise it a little bit more but very pleased . It has had an effect on performance , it's quite a bit crisper , even my wife commented on it , I've no doubt that it will have increased the HP a bit but it's hard to tell as I don't normally go around using max HP so a little bit more won't be noticed . Will be nice not to have to fork out $35.00 for a new filter every 3 Mths . I've only had two tankfuls through it since it was installed , but so far the milage is up by 50 K's a tankful , normally get about 500 K's out of a tank around town , the last two have been just over 540 K's , very appy !!

| Have now had it all out and finish welded it as well as making up a jig so that I can reproduce it exactly .

| Thats awesome Rich, Great Job. Question... can you work out your L/100kms with the new filter. as i have recently fitted one of those vortex generators as well as a trust airnix filter to go in the stock panel position and i'm getting 13.6L/100km which translates to about 600kms for the best part of a tank. just wondering if i should upgrade to what you've done or not for consumption reasons CHEERS |

| Gee Ryan that's a bit thirsty !! I use 10L/100Km on a trip at a cruising speed of around 120KPH and somewhere between 11.6L/100Km and 12.8L/100Km around town depending on how hard I am on the pedal , gas it up hard and it will suck it down . Even my wife noticed that it was far more "crisper" after I fitted the Apexi filter . Have a look at the filtering ability of the following , don't know about Trust but I would be checking it out !!

| Mine averages about 15L to the 100 and thats driving conservatively, its the c-f model so maybe the extra weight has an effect on fuel efficiency |

| My last tankful was 1.9l/100K's , but I have noticed the milage getting worse lately , I'm not surprised due for as I'm overdue for plugs leads , rotors and caps . |

| My celsior used to get 500 or 515 max per tank. Now in the 1998 ls400 I get 600 easy. I think the engines are old and out of tune maybe |

| Rich, did you ever end up making up a jig for that custom adaptor you made? Just wondering as i've been considering putting in a pod filter, purely because the stock toyota filter is a rip off and i'm not interested in continually forking out the dollars for it. Rob, i envy your car. After filling up my tank the other week, it got down to half a tank 150ks later.... and you all think your cars are thirsty, and to top it off i do like to give it a bit pretty often, but i don't thrash it 24/7 so the consumption does concern me a little. Blair, mines a CF too so i think we may be onto something here |

| Ha you think that's bad, i get about 250km out of a full tank and that's driving it like miss daisy. I think the problem is my MAF sensor but i'm not 100% sure. |

| just a hint kids..... driving in the city mashes your fuel consumption, my average consumption went from 600+ / tank in newcastle to -400 in sydney |

| Hey is the adaptor available to purchase from you as I would like to fit and apexi filter. What apexi filter do you have is it just a universal one with your adapter? |

| Yeah Rich, Is it possible to purchase brackets like these as I may look into doing a similar intake setup than using the stock expensive filters? |
