Gday Adrian, i just wrapped mine in a little foam and left it in the small cavity behind the radio. Tapped into the stereo power wire for + and used the larger of the two aerial connectors. You have to remove the shifter surround, ashtray and top vents to get at the four bolts that hold the stereo/AC cradle, then just slide it out to get to the connectors behind there. Here is a tutorial from lexls.com showing how to remove the headunit. I found the hardest part in mine was getting my fingers under the bottom of the ashtray to pull it straight out, but overall, fairly easy.
