Hey Kiddies.....
I recently returned from a holiday to brisbane (from Newcastle) that spanned over 2000km. Anyways thought i would share some stuff. As we all know the celsior had no problems at all but there is some interesting points i can tell you alll about
Fuel consumption: over the 2000kms the celsior returned an average of 10.2L/100km ( I have had all bushes replaced, new plugs and filters and a full service 6,000kms beforehand. I was running on 98 Vortex). I thought this was bloody good as for one of the tanks it returned 9.8L/100kms.
I also did a speed calibration just north of Newcastle. i.e. there is a section where 5kms is marked in 1km intervals, if you time it you can work out how accurate the speedo is! my car rolls on 245/35/R18 and 265/30/R18. My speedo read approx 109.8km/h after doing all the maths and calculations i figured that my real speed was in fact 103.1km/h so the speedo is a fairway out but hey at least i'll never get done for speeding
on another random note.... i just got my front bar repaired and sprayed after it dropped off. 1 week later to the hour i was driving in Brisbane and went down a big dip in the road.... well we can all guess what happened the bar scraped (BADLY) and cracked all the paint right up to the number plate! ($800 well spent, NOT).
Any hoot thanks for taking the time to read this some may think i'm a goose and others may find some of the fact interesting but thanks for humoring me anyways
Ryan
P.S don't speed on the north/east coast there is a billion and one speed cameras!! (especialy around coffs harbour)
