Hi guys,

Sounds like fun mate! Make sure you get us back with some feed back. Just keep an eye out for any evidence that may show that its been given a hard time. Typically, these motors are pretty much bullet proof. I have seen a lot of them with low K's, but who's to say it hasn't been wound back? So hard to tell with these things. They are coming up to 20 years old. Steering wheel wear is a good indicator, but if its been retrimmed, then that wont be an accurate way of telling. Just keep an eye out for oil leaks and watch for interior wear. And ask lots of questions. Probably my best advice. Otherwise, contact Rob Hayden. He is a walking celsior bible, and will answer any questions that you may have!... All the best mate, Cheers.

Since you have asked and nothing against the seller, but I think its to expensive (saw price on carsales). Then again I haven't seen it in person and do you believe all the work. That big rwKw for only 4psi, maybe possible. I am only toying with the idea of a supercharger onto my Celsior, but I think a stock engine with more boost and efi computer only gets around 175rwKw. Remembering that this is also on a stock motor that I assume has higher compression than the engine you mentioned. Higher compression, higher boost, one would think more power. I'm sure this equation isn't as simple as it sounds, but just be aware.
Not trying to put you off or lose a sale for the seller, but I personally think you could get a lot better/later model car for that kind of money.
Just remember, you asked people what they think. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for the input guys, just want I wanted to hear. Ive never even looked sideways at a Celsior so I'm really unaware of the value, and redbook is way too vague.
Whats the average cost for a decent Celsior? With the low Ks and the super charger which i know would be in excess for $5000 plus setup, rims, paint etc...i would be happy to pay close to the asking price.
Anyone know of this car? Girlfriend was friends with the owner and can confirm that its in perfect nick and has been babied...but I'll check it out myself...and report back.

I was just looking at this car on Carsales too! I'm not thinking too seriously about it, but there are others on there for around $11,000. Bullet Supercars (www.bulletcars.com) on the Gold Coast will supercharge for $7000 fitted. Nice paint etc... But, you never get this back when you try and sell a car, and i don't think it is worth quite that much. Good luck with you decision!

Hi mate. No I didnt buy it but i've seen it getting around...quite quickly lol. It really is a very nice car...but I'm happy with my A8 for now. I had it's resonators removed, so the twin 2.5inch stainless system really growls and crackles now...not the sound you'd expect from an Audi...woot.

I dunno about you guys but for 5 grand i'm sure i could get someone to do me a low mount turbo job on mine (just to be different) lol. I'll just minmise the lag and put in a BOV (after my manual conversion that is).
I'm going to get a microtech or an Apex'i ECU put in before hand most likely so it will be all ready for any kind of induction.
But I also figure by the time i get to the forced induction stage it will already be running @ high duty cycle from all the little mods so I will have to replace injectors, lines, pump and rail etc.
