hey guys i want to give the celsior a service on the weekend, what oil do people on here recommend? how much is needed in an oil change (sorry dont have a workshop manual) are the genuine toyota oil and air filters better than ryco filters? does anyone have part numbers for these filters? i also want to change plugs and leads, maybe rotor caps.... can anyone recommend any decent brands for these parts? or an ebay store that stocks such parts....
i would greatly appreciate any advice on the above bits n pieces.

I run Castrol Edge in a 5/30 which is a full synthetic and use Pure One filters or when I can get them Japanese made Toyota filters . I have supplied and run myself STI leads [ at least as good as genuine if not better ] and Japanese made caps and rotors with NGK Platinum plugs . Let me know if you want some .

Mike it doesn't use any between oil changes , I check it once a week when I also check the tyre pressures , I change my oil every 10,000 K's . How are the leads going ?

I have HPR10 in mine at the moment. Going to switch back to HPR15 next change though, as the start up noise is a lot louder with HPR10 (dry buckets/shims)

Yeah good thanks Rich, More mid range power and pull up top from what Ive noticed, rotors/caps helped too. Thanks for all the gear!
However I should really sort out some iridium spark plugs over these cheaper new copper plugs I got dont work too well on cold start ups and cause miss fires. So obviously should do it asap!

Mmmm I mite do that as well Ive found HPR15 was very nice and quiet in the soarer. The HPR10 I have now is ever so slightly noisier.

In winter i would stick to HPR10 In summer go for HPR15
Yeah I was planning on that. I still got 2 bottles of HPR15 so will be good to use in a couple of months when it starts to warm up. Only done 800ks on the HPR10 so a while till its time for the 5k oil change anyway.
