After owning my UZZ30 soarer I noticed it had rather chunky and solid looking cast iron wishbones and other suspension parts. Quite satisfying really... :-)

However now owning my airbag UCF11 Celsior Ive notice that the suspension arms and wishbones etc 'look' a lot less substantial than the soarers ones, generally pretty much the whole system!

So just out of curiosity It gives me the idea the celsior is weaker in the suspension department and It wont handle as much as the soarers stock gear?

If thats the case its understandable as the celsior is more of the casual cruiser where as the soarer is more of the agile sports car to get around the bends at a reasonable pace.

So anyone got any thoughts on whats the story here between the two suspension designs?

I think you just answered your own question Mike.

I could throw my soarer around the corners and zip through the roundabouts quickly,
now in the celsior the experience is very different, she has to go a fair bit slower.

Its a cruiser

I can see why it would be an ultimate to have a blown V8 soarer and celsior for cruising

Yeah i organised a cruise a little while ago with a few of you kids... needless to say i was the obly celsior... now i kept up okay on the straights but throught the bends i just couldn't keep up i was using the whole road while the soarers were staying in their lanes and i still couldn't catch them... mind you my parents were behind me in a V6 calais VY and couldn't keep up with me so HEY! i'm happy :-)

Hahaha.

I Find even my airbag Celsior handles okay, my UZZ30 was a little more solid and trusting but the celsior can still go okay, Would be interesting to see how a soarer handles now after been driving a celsior for almost 3 months now though!!

Still as an advantage I prefer the ride over the soarer its a little more cushy with the airbags. However eventually Ill have them changed to coils can stock conventional shocks when the airbags leak eventually. :-)

At the end of the day both are good cars and its a goal of mine to have one of each in time to come...
