So I was in my Celsior the other night and i started it up and you know where all your projected dash lights light up (eg, engine, oil, symbols etc.). Well I had kind of tiny dots shining through next to those and i thought "hmm that's wierd" so I had a look up there and did a bit of feeling around, a little more light came through, as if there was a light that was 'rubbed out' so i actually get a torch and look up there and there is sticky tape over all the lights, with 2 of them coloured in...
I rip tape off and now I got 2 new lights.
Question 1. Which are they Question 2. Should they be on... Question 3. Why were they covered in the first place...
The first light I uncovered was the red 'airbag' light that sits to the left in the middle of the tacho and STAYS ON.
The Second light is a little Orange car symbol, that sits to the right in the middle of the speedo. This one only comes on after you start the car and like, touch the brake or something, as if you're about to drive (I dunno).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't like the sound of red lights staying on...

Simon my best guesses are these. The airbag light does come on if the ignition is switched on at any time whilst the steering wheel r some other part of the 'dash was removed. If you have a look at PlanetSoarer website I believe Scotty has section on this and what to do. The other light is telling you that not all your brake lights are working. Back up in front of a shop window and check it out.....there are so many lights that some times you have to look pretty carefully to see if one is gone. Hope this helps!

i wouldn't be surprised if it was the australian dealer that imported it. He also wound the speedo back. The guy i bought it off wouldn't have known any better than me.
Rich is going to run some diags for me so i'll see what it turns up. Maybe if the airbag is gone in the steering wheel i can get an aftermarket wheel haha
