Ive found when I first had my celsior it was good for a 100km/h sprint in just over 8 seconds. Which was pretty good.
Now with replacing all the key electrical ignition gear, the BFI and a few other common servicing items its quite capable of 100km/h sprints in 7.7-7.9s which I find is pretty rather decent considering its one of the more heavier models and pretty much standard. It would be amazing to see how a full exhaust, ecu and decent tyres would improve the acceleration, I'm sure low 7's would be no trouble if not high 6's...
How are other members celsiors/LS400's performing?

What does a BFI on an Celsior/LS400 look like??
Since the intake is circular on the Celsior is kinda like a big circle cutout pretty much, But you dont see it at all as theres a cover over it. Works really well and sounds brilliant, Much more aggressive sounding than my v8 soarers one was...

Mike,
The prior owner of my car did the cutout of the air filter lid and it has the sound you talk about. Have you done something so it picks up cold air only. If so, can you please post up a photo. I think mine only gets hot air and it pings most of the time. I have noticed on cold nights she doesn't ping, so I gather this is due to the hot air only. Well that's what I am hoping for as I have organised to get a new air filter lid.
