It was a bit of work. More time consuming than anything. I did about 5 light coats of the VHT Nite Shades tint (i basically used the whole can) and then let it dry overnight. The next day i did about 5 or so clear coats but wasn't happy with the K&N clear enamel i was using and tried some white knight gloss stuff after sanding it back with some fine grit sandpaper and some super fine steel wool.
I didn't tint them as dark as in the lexls.com tutorial, and didn't tint the reverse or the indicators.
I couldn't find a good clear coat/gloss product for finish so i got a matte kind of colour which i was unhappy with. If anyone has recommendations on this please pm me. I will probably sand them back and re-do it when i have free time.

Good one Neil.By they way.Can anyone get their hands on those after market tail lights from over seas that look much nicer than the originals?I think they have a much brighter red and some white lines running accross them.

Kien ebay is the best place for the aftermarket tails as they sell the red and clear, full clear or standard ones on there. I'm waiting till after christmas to order mine so the mail quantity dies down and less chance of it going a stray
