I noticed there are some different types of grilles for these around, just wondering who has what and whats a good type to go for etc?
I made mine satin Black which looks a lot better but its still not that a nice grille, too many slits and vertical parts... Looks odd. It would be nice to replace it with something more simple and less cluttered.. Any ideas, pictures or what not to contribute...

Yeah, i know what you mean. The satin black can job is one of the best mods for the factory grille. For sa whole heap of cars actually. I did the same on my old benz. And like clear indicators, gave the car about 5 years of youth.
Too many vertical lines indeed. Makes it look a little too cressida. Some thicker horizontal lines only, would look nice. There is a Junction Produce one for the UCF10/11 that has only horizontal lines. Also Wald has one.
I have seen plenty of 'billet' style 'boyd coddington' lookalike grilles. Wayyyyyy to cadillac (dont say that in front of Neil. )

Main thing about these aftermarket grilles is that there is no place to fit a badge, which can be good ro bad depending on what you are trying to achieve.

Yeah Its rather annoying that and alot tend to look tacky.... Just wondering if it would work to remove some of the vertical slats on the stock grille, sand the notches down and repaint....
Stock it just looks way too cluttered, on some angles and when the sun sits on it... =
I might go to a wrecker or something and try find a grille.... surely not too expensive and see if I can modify it to a more simple shape..
