Having owned my Celsior for 2 years now the one thing that never worked was the fender pole. They no longer make them so I thought I was stuffed but at last there is one on ebay.com that works apart from the little light on top. Anyway even with $55.00USD shipping I have put a bid on it (please don't bid!!!)

This is a Soarer one, but the Celsior ones are in the same spot.

And yet, the owner of that Soarer still managed to scrape up his front bumper.

ahh, thats crap. i was always under the impression the fender pole came out from the SIDE of the car just infront of the front left wheel so you knew how far from the gutter you are.

I've pulled both my fender pole lights out expecting to be able to fix them. They did operate, up and down, when I first bought the Soarer, but the plastic tube and the wire to the lamp inside the pole broke. the plastic tube gets brittle and breaks. I'll replace tube with 4mm air line as soon as I figure out how to disconnect the tube from the top of the pole.

Yes it can. The top coloured bit unscrews, and the bulb unscrews from the antenna. If I remember rightly, the last bulb I obtained from Repco.

Good news! I won the Ebay auction for the Fender Pole at US$6.83 plus shipping at US$45.00 so pretty pleased at 27.00 GBP. I took my original one to pieces and I too discovered that the plastic tube had broken in several places due to hardening with age but also could not work out how to disconnect it from the top of the mast

If memory serves Steve, you have to buy a replacement antenna mast which comes with the nylon tube attached........god knows what the part number is The nylon tube is crimped into the top section of the antenna.

Latest update the FP arrived very well packed and has after some delay now been fitted to the car. The light however does not work ( I knew this before I bought it) but I cannot seem to unscrew the plastic tip to gain access to the bulb,it turns but does not unscrew, any tips as I do not want to break it.

Hi guys, I've got a fender pole but it's not working at all (no light, no up/down). Is this because the fender pole is buggered or a wiring issue? When i press the fender pole up/down button, the motor sounds like it's trying to do something. Thanks.

Hi, What happens is there is a nylon tube coiled inside with the wire for the light inside the tube. Over time the tube becomes brittle and fractures so the pole doesn't move and the wire gets broken too for the light.
