Hi all.Just today I tried to lean the back rest of the driver's side seat and noticed that only one half of it is working. The right hand half would work as normal but the left side seems to be stuck in one position.Any ideas? Thanks.

i had the same problem, you need to take the backing off the chair and glue the bar to the cog on the left side. once you pull your chair apart you will know what im talking about, its down the bottom and is a long bar the length of the chair and there will be a cog about 6-7cm in diameter you need to glue these together with some really strong glue. i had to do this to mine and has worked fine ever since. any more problems just write back, more than willing to help.

Kiem - This problem is very common with Celsiors, Mine also done it but I got a new rod put in and everything is sweet now, So take off the backing of the chair which is just two screws down the very bottom, and then lift and pull off. Then look down the bottom of the guts of the seat and there should be a alloy looking rod, somehow take it off and inspect the inside which has probably worn all the cogs smooth. Maybe glue it as Sam suggested. Good luck mate.

On a slightly related note, has anyone had a problem with the passenger headrest tilt on a C-F model celsior?
On the model with all the controls in the rear arm rest, there is a button to move the front passenger seat all the way forward and collapse the head rest into itself; when you open the front door it all automatically 'unfolds' back into place.
Mine, however, seems to be stuck. The electronic control computer for this seat is constantly trying to move the headrest back, but its not moving. I can feel the seat getting warm and it drains all of my battery if I leave it connected. So at the moment my passenger seat is unplugged and it's getting to be quite annoying!

id say pulling the backing off the chair and having a look back there might give you some more options. ive never heard of such a problem with the celsior, but id say something is jamming it if the computer is running but nothings happening.

My CF celsior passengers seat headrest makes a whurring sound when tilting back up and going backdown. Going up and tilting forward nice and silent. Not sure what it is. But I never use this feature in the car so never really looked into it.
As for your seat not going back and you can hear it trying to do so. Have you tried to give it a hand manualy.
Id assume there is a loose thread somewhere in the seat and has probley gotten tangled up in the mechanics.
