My engine fan seems to come on a lot sooner and more often than it used to and the engine is running quite a bit cooler.

Anyone know what triggers the engine fan to turn on? Is it one of the many temp sensors in the engine bay? Could I just have a bad thermostat?

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks Tai for the confirmation.

That's what I was assuming based on other information on the internet, but I haven't found any information on a test procedure or the correct resistance it should be reading.

The climate control unit activates the switch that activates the hydraulic fan also.

I've also been told that the control unit is behind the glovebox..

Let us know if you find out more info as I would like to know also.
