hey there all im only new. just a question hopefully someone can help me. well ive got a 1990 celsior with air bag susp and i did have an aftermarket controller until i broke it ufortunately. dont ask how haha. anyway now that ive disconnected the remote from the computer behind the drivers side rear quarter trim it now rides with the drivers side a few inches higher than the other side front and rear is the same. just wonderin if anyone else has had this problem or would know how to fix it inexpensively. maybe resettin it somehow may help i dont really know. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.and recently i disconnected the positive battery terminal to try resettin it and it worked and the drivers side deflated to be the same as the passenger side but then i went back later that day and started the car up and then the drivers side started inflating so it is higher than the other side. its really pissing me off cause it pulls hard to the left and i cant imagine the extra wear its puttin on everything. any help would be appreciated . thanx

It must be a 4 way controller... When you broke your controller it must have got stuck on that setting and when you disconnected the battery it leveled out i suppose. It's a wierd one. Rich might have to take this. Get a new height controller I say...

You didn't jack the car up with the computer still on did you?

Have you checked the adjusters behind the wheels yet to make sure they adjusted evenly?

The only thing I could think of is that the adjusters where out of wack and that someone used a controller to even it out. Now its gone its back to its uneven self.

That or the Sensors (adjusters) might be giving wrong signals make the car believe that it is level. Just adjust the sensors on one side until it evens out. Simple.

These cars and their odd electrical problems can be very annoying at times.

I'm having the same problem, but only after I reconnected my aftermarket controller. Adjusting the height sensor rods might help.

it wasnt a 4 way controller as such i could only adjust the front independently and i could only adjust the rear as one. it was all level when i disconnected the remote. is there any section that covers the adjusters and how to adjust them and what they look like or anything bout them. i dont know what they look like so any help would be good thanks

Glen, I'm not sure about the Celsior, but on the Soarer, there is a rod connecting the lower control arm of each wheel to the body. At the top of this rod is a height sensor. It's a pain-in-the-ass job, but you need to adjust these rods with the wheels grounded, and see if that helps I think.
Undo the lock nuts at the top and bottom of the rod and then use the middle nut to adjust the rod (might need some WD-40 if they are a bit tight). Remember, if you raise the front left, then the rear right is going to drop a bit etc.
