Has anyone had the experience of their steering column adjusting motor not working? Mine has just decided to simply not move the column, and make like a grinding noise... and sometimes it won't move at all...

I have read about the fix for this somewhere on the internet, try google it up. My Wheel once wouldnt go down and I could hear the motor trying, I just thumbed it down and it worked fine ever since. Although doing so stuffed up my tacho! hahaha

Fair enough. Its just that I have heard of instances where people have stopped the beeper from working, and then the steering column stops working, as they had cut the wrong wire.

Good clues. Look at the switch that is fitted under the ignition key barrel that detects if the key is in. If that switch is loose or whatever, then the beep, steering etc won't work.

This happened to mine not that long ago, And I read that walkthrough and fixed the problem, was a very fiddly job to get the cog out, but easy to do and fixed it up no problems at all
