Not hard, I pulled both axles out and took it too a drive shaft place. Didn't cost that much ($140ish I think) and only took a couple of hours. Needed to buy a special hex-head socket to remove the bolts though. To do it yourself you'd need the special tools, could be big $$$

Cheers for the info the hex head socket is that to remove the shaft? i've had a quick look at it might give it go one day at work when its not to busy and see how i go its just the boot that i need to replace. Cheers Hugh

I can't remember what size the hex head is, but it was easier to buy the socket than trying to use an allen key (18years of being tight). Fairly easy to find the socket at GOOD tool shops, Repco/Supercheap maybe a stretch. Was under $20. I suggest taking the shafts to a shop to do, you'll notice that when you look at the shaft. It looks impossible to get a new boot on over the weird knuckle. Happy to help.
