hey all this seems like a great forum so Ive joined!
Ive had my 89 celsior for about a year now and i was wondering what model number it is? its all leather air suspension massaging rear seats sunroof the whole kit n kaboodle!
if i wanted to buy parts for it off eBay and such, do i buy stuff for the 90 lS400?
where can i find a new air cabin charcoal filter? mine was black as!! will the ls400 one work
tail lights----will those ones from luxurymods.com fit my celsior because they are for ls400
Does anybody know of anywhere to buy a chrome grill for the celsior?
and is there any way to lower the height without a air height controller? maybe releasing air out of the struts manually??

PICS!!!!!
You have what called a UCF11 Celsior. With the massaging seats its probably a "CF" spec.
I have a C spec UCF11 so no roof mounted air con or massaging seats for me.
If you really need parts, ask in this forum, as some parts may not suit your model from Australian delivered and US market cars.
The LS400 charcoal filter will work, can be ordered new from Toyota.
I have some of those funky tailights if you are interested, but yes, the luxury mods ones will work but Im not sure about the wiring.
Chrome grills are available of ebay.com (US) yahoo.jp and also on ebay.com.au me thinks.
You can certainly lower the stuts without a controller, as there is a measurin 'rod' in each wheel arch that can be adjusted. Theres a tutorial somewhere on here or planetsoarer.com

Basically, all the blingy stuff from ebay.com fits the celsior, like grilles, lights, body panels kits etc... You would be searching for 1990-1994 LS400 parts in the US and A.

i don't have any pics yet its night time now but I'll take some tomorrow (it isn't much, very standard). Since im new here im going to ask a lot of questions. I Have just lost my license for six months and that gives me a lot of time to work and modify my celsior so any help you guys give me is really appreciated!! im just a really noob when it comes to these cars (i use to have a commy)
1.i am looking for a VIP grill for it, i seen a pic of a badgeless, black and chrome grill (black on the inside, lines go horizontally) with a chrome trim. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be REALLY FANTASTIC!!!
2. Aaron im after the tail lights the red and clear ones, not the completely clear ones, so if you can help me out that would be great!
3.i have a 4 channel alpine amp that i wanna put in the celsior so i can put a higher powered 8" sub..anyone help me out there? is it a big task for the car because i imagine there would be enough wire in there to circle the globe!
4. anyone know where to buy the clear front bumper lights cheap?
5.im looking for a new 'wooden' panel thing that goes around the gearstick (and cup holders!), anyone have one or know where to get one?
6. my rims are standard 16" celsior rims with the Toyota symbol in the middle, does anyone know where and if they sell them with the Lexus symbol?
7. the cars battery dies mid drive the other day and now that I've got a new battery for it a heap of the warning symbols are on? any theories?
8. when im driving, the handbrake symbol comes on and that makes it so the cruise control stops...again any theories??

1: yahoo japan somes times ebay if your lucky
2: I can hook you up with some, email me toyota_celsior@inbox.com
3: yep done it many a times, there isnt as much wiring as you would think in a Celsior, its all neat and tidy and they are very well built so it makes it easy to work on, the biggest advice I can give is when taking out the back seats in a cf celsior on the back rests there are hidden bolts, you have to raise up the head rests and there is a little zipper undo that and you will see a 12mm bolt (well I think its a 12). I could install a whole system subs, new speakers, head unit, 4 channel amp for speakers in a few hours easy. Too much to wrie it all out here but if u have any specific questions ask away.
4: Email me.
5: heaps on yahoo japan.
6: yep they sure do, can even get it in gold. but that looks pretty crap lol
7: Id say alternator then, to test put a volt meter on the output of the alternator to determain if thats working 1st then give us an answer (should be over 13 volts if its charging), let us know and we can go from there. Google how to test an alternator should give u more info.
8: id be checking the little switch that activates the light, its located near the hand(foot)brake pedal and activated my its movment, I know if I just pull my release handle the pedal doesnt come right out and the light stays on, I have to put my foot under the pedal and pull it out a little futher.
hope that helps. where abouts in qld you from mate?
Yep: t5's will work. but its not a straight swap you need a twist base socket as well, Id just get these tho http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/74_t15.htm

wow, those dash mats are great THANKS MATE!! but looking at the pictures, the dash mats appear to be for LHD ls400, is there an option to switch. If there is im going to buy it immediately.
any that yahoo japan has a lot of stuff but i cant read Japanese, how do you guys order parts from there?

8. I have 2 Celsiors and on both of them the hand brake light sometimes comes on and all I need to do is pull the release handle out again and the light goes off. Also sometimes when I release the handbrake and then drive off, when I get down the road a bit I have a slight vibration in the car. I release the handbrake again and the vibration disappears.
I would assume they would make a RHD version, best have to shot them an email. The rear parcel shelfs are the same tho.
Where abouts you from in Qld mate, you in Brisbane. If your local I suggest we catch up and check out each others cars, the information we could trade in half and hour would be the equivilent to weeks on here.

I would recommend these guys http://www.chtoyota.com.au/ they have just about every part in stock for the soarer and celsior plus it's all genuine toyota without the massive markup so they do very cheap. By the way there are a few chrome grills on the yahoo auctions, i'm interested in getting one myself perhaps we could organise a few if more people are interested and save on shipping? http://translate.google.com.au/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpage15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp%2Fjp%2Fauction%2Ft88260677&sl=ja&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
