Not going near that one !!!! LOL
Maybe Simon of the "pre" fold should be banned from Celsior "stuff" seeing as he has forsaken Celsiors for a MX73 all be it powered by a 1uzfe ???
And why aren't you over here getting your engine G/box out ??
Instead of messing around on the nett , huh !!

Agreed, even a meet up would be great. My Celsior at the moment is fairly stock. It's black but it needs a respray. I'm currently looking for 20" wheels although I'm undecided on what to get. I originally wanted to get quite 'bling' wheels but I'm still unsure. I'm open for ideas on any modifications. Anyway, here are some pics on how the Celsior looks to date.

Ok. Bugger off the tiny exhaust pipes. Get some larger dumps.

Also please PLEASE don't go with 20" bling. It makes them look cheap and nasty

Get some 18" Japanese racing wheels with big dish

for instance:

^^^ They are Work VS KF

This was my old Celsior:

They are 18" Sparco Racing Drift Spec II. Only set in Australia. The car is gone to Redland bay somewhere now :-(

But I didn't have a body kit on it and the wheels made it look awesome :-) Actually that's a terrible pic let me get another ;)

I forgot to mention about the exhaust. Was going to change them to twin dump pipes an both sides...but again I'm undecided on that as well . The person who owned the car before me took all the mufflers out apart from the front one so I would probably only change the tips.

I'm definitely thinking about Jap wheels. After noticing not many people had bling wheels I started to rethink. Maybe even getting black wheels with a chrome rim...just wanted something a little different.

My other mods I'm planning are fairly basic. I wanted to change the head unit and speakers and sit the head unit and height controller nicely in under the air con unit (which also needs to be replaced as it bleeds). Change headlights to something a little brighter and whiter and possibly change the tail lights to the clear top and bottom with the red strip in the middle. Please forgive me if there's certain terminology I'm meant to use for this but I'm fairly new to this.

Then I just need to replace the passenger side mirror as it is cracked and the front lip as it has a few chips and holes in it too. Then I think I'll be done...so I say now....

Why did you sell your Cel? I couldn't think of a nicer car, I've definitely caught the bug. Sorry for hijacking the thread too...just a little excited about my new toy.

Needed a stick. If i hadda kept the auto i would gone insane. If I had the cash to do a manual conversion i would have kept it, but it's all good cause i got the same engine in a lighter car and it's a 5spd manual so i'm happy as :-)

Yes I would say that the only downfall is that they're autos but as I mostly drive through Surfers traffic everyday it's kind of a good thing for me.

Are you all based in Brisbane or are there some from the Gold Coast?

I saw that there is a cruise on this Saturday but it's about 1.5 hours away from me so I had to count that one out.

I was just eating breakfast before and I remembered about this cruise that I proposed haha. So I thought I better come back on and see if we had any more numbers up, and it would appear that we have :-) yay!

Welcome Cassie to Celsior ownership! So what is the beast? Looks like its got airbags but no cf package.

20" rims? errrrr keep that for the gangsta rappers.

I have 19" Jap rims, Your still get the bling effect but you dont get that cheap plastic look you do from chrome. (See below)

How is everyone elses cars coming along? I should have mine all polished up and ready in a week or so if everyone else is still keen?

I will be getting a unichip installed next week so am keen to see how she will compete with other celi's.

No, no CF package, but from what I've been told it's a C package...has leather seats, sunroof and rear air con controls...can't really tell from the pics that is has leather. I cover it up because it gets quite hot in Summer.

The wheels are nice, they go really well with Celsiors but I'm so undecided. Believe me I use to carry around a mini magic 8-ball on my keyring as a joke because I was so indecisive Could take me awhile to decide what I want. I think the paint is the first thing I'm going to do. Has a big chip on the bumper, and it's a good opportunity to paint the bottom of the car black.

What about all of your cars? What are the specs? Would love to know in case I pass you in passing. Any inside knowledge I should know about Celsiors before I get in too deep?

And just remembered with timings I was free every weekend but I remember I start up my course I'm doing again for 5 weeks starting the following Saturday...then going to Europe! What timing Needed to get my Cel a little sooner I think...

My car:

Pearl white, CF pack (seat massagers/heaters), 19" work rims, latest R-spec height controller, Choc Brown Leather, Pretty much no exhaust (exits halfway under the car, I still have 2cannons out the back to make it look legit) haha sounds great, Modified exposed air filter with cold air shielding, stainless steel wheel arch covers (not in the pics above), most of the lights inside have been changed for LED's, and I will be getting a unichip next week.

Any inside knowlage?

Owning a Celsior is a love hate relationship haha. Some days I love it some days it annoys me! Think of it as dating a super model, yea they sure look and go great but dam they need maintenance haha. Information and parts can prove hard to get at times, but that's why we have these forums.

I see your concerned about getting a respray. Have you tried rejuvenating the old paint? Not sure how much you know about doing so but if your unsure and local id be happy to show you the difference a proper polish/buff can do on your car.

Ah, so that's your car....was thinking it was Andrews from the wheels comment Do you have a link to the wheels he is selling?

Very nice car. Very neat and tidy. Do you have interior shots? The seat massagers in the rear is a huge draw card. Bet your passengers like it. At least I know that because I don't have them I don't have people lingering in my car and getting massaged while I have to drive them around! Hehe. Although I did notice when I pulled my car apart (did it when I first got it to give it a good clean) that the rear seats had an electrical connector to them. Do all Celsiors have this in case you want to put massagers in the rear?

Not quite sure what cold air shielding and the unichip are. I have been around rev heads all my life and I have picked up a little bit but when it gets into the technical stuff I get lost hehe. So please forgive me. I'm sure I'll pick it up from these types of forums anyway.

Great analogy with the super model hehe. My main concern with Celsiors is all the electrics. I'm terrified that one day I will wake up and the electrics have gone ka-put. But I guess you get that with any car.

I was thinking of going with a respray as I wanted to paint the bottom black...not a huge deal but might as well...as I also have a few chips around the wheel arch on one side, and it looks like a door has hit both doors on the other side. Also, to cover my huge chip in the bumper...which you can't see in the photos. Was thinking about respraying all the way up to the door pillars of the car. I got a quote off a mate and he said $1200-$1500 which sounded like a reasonable price.

Brendan: They came with the car, 8.5" wide up front and 10" at the rear I can only run 245's on the back with that offset and being lowered. These rims are realllly popular over in japan, If you have ever seen any of the high performance import dvd's when they show you the vip scene all you see is slammed celsiors and crowns with these rims haha.

Cassie:

the unichip is what is called a piggyback ecu interceptor, basicly it intercepts signals beings sent from the sensors in the engine changes them and sends them back on the path to the ecu, for example say the air temp sensor is saying its 25 degree's a piggyback/unichip will change the single so the ecu reads it as being say 30 degree's, this will make the ecu lean out (inject less fuel) the engine. Doing this will make extra power as from factory the cars are tuned fairly conservative.

The cold air shielding im referring to is basicly a piece of insulated plastic that isolates the air filter from the rest of the engine bay so that the hot engine has less change of heating up the air entering the engine, the lower the air temp the more dense the air the most oxygen the air has the more fuel that can be added hence more bang more power. I only have my airfilter isolated because I have it exposed for more flow the standard air intake is a little of the restrictive side so it eliminates engine noise, but in my case I love engine noise haha.

The electrics wont really give you much hassle, so long as you dont labour the electric motors (example lean forward when putting the backrest more vertical dont let the motor lift your body weight and the backrest) there are some little dicky electric things that do go wrong, (speedo and tacho needles can flicker, fuel gauge can fail ($2 fix), and ive heard of the capacitors in the engine computer having an issue with leaking over time, but like i said, most things that go wrong with these cars are due to mistreatment and lack of preventive maintenance. When I first got my celsior I removed all the body moldings and rubbers and cleaned and waxed them, there was so much dirt and dust under them which is a perfect moisture trap for when it rains and that is a perfect recipe for rust. My biggest advice is dont drive around with the car too low you will kill your air bags and they are not the cheapest and easyest to replace. For your replacement LCD screen there is a great fellow on these forums named rich oneil he has some for sale, his also located in brisbane, top bloke to deal with.

I guess im just gonna have to get you to come out so I can check out your celsior and I will be able to point you in a better direction from there as to what id do with it :-) where bouts in ol brisvegas do you reside?

Wow full of information. Great to know there's people on this forum that know what they're talking about who can teach newbies like me a thing or two

Good to know the electrics will hopefully be around a little longer. I can relax on that one.

I would love you take to a look around my Celsior as most people who know cars don't really have much experience with Celsiors. Especially the areas to stop rust from happening. Even if we can all meet up one day/night at a Maccas or something hehe.

I live on the Gold Coast, Helensvale to be more precise so the northern side. It's about 40mins from the CBD.
