It will work,

Celsiors came out in Japan in 1989, and introduced to the rest of the world as the LS400's in 1990.

They're not all the same, I made the mistake of buying a soarer alternator. Didn't have enough amps.
I'm pretty sure that the LS400 alternator didn't have as much 'kick' as a CF-Spec Celsior.
They physically look the same and it will bolt on.
Just a word of warning from experience, buy the right one.

Why not get the original rebuilt? I had mine done and for $100 I have what looks to be a brand new alternator with warranty. It took a few hours to have it rebuilt and it was ready to go back in.

Daniel I have a spare that I replaced with a new unit in my car , great for a rebuild and swap over , then you can do the same for some one else with the one you pull out .
