Just finished installing a new LCD Climate/clock panel , came from the guy down in Canberra , came packaged in an alloy tube in a poly box inside another box with bubble wrap !! Certainly well packaged !! A genuine glass panel LCD that has nicer graphics than genuine with better temp operating range than original , very pleased with it . While I was at it I changed all the switches and the back lighting to blue LED's , looks totally awesome !! Green is so yesterday !!!! Will post up a pic when I get a chance .

I got two of them and they work out at near enough to a $100.00 each , as it turns out Boompa's Celsior is a "F" package and he needs the shorter LCD , so I now have one for sale . Look on E Bay Aus . Do a search under LS400 and it will come up .

Its the longer display for celsior without the rear seat controls If you have the F package you'll need shorter display....approx 6.5cm lenght....I think

ryan the only place that you will find a c-f climate display is a lexus dealer as you can only get them as a genuine part. one price that i have heard is $1400.

ryan that is like asking how long is a piece of string. Every LCD is unique to the function that it will do. Yes there is some LCD's that are the same across different brands etc. but the manufacturer has designed the function to suit the LCD. Lexus/toyota designed the LCD screen in the LS400/Celsior around the layout that they wanted. Therefor the LCD screen is unique to the Lexus Brand. like it or not if you have a C-F Celsior and are wanting to replace the LCD you will have to pay Lexus what they are asking.

Hey Guys sorry to pull out an old thread.... Rich I am wondering how you went about changing the colour of the LEDS i really want to do the same thing I have pulled the console apart but I cannot find anywhere that sells LEDS as indiviual LEDs which is obviously problematic! where did you purchase yours from? can you buy the little coloured hats to go over the LEDs in the switches or did you just change the whole LED?

I changed the whole lot to LED's , worth the hassle as they use a lot less current , run cooler and will basically last for ever and they also look better. I also did the symbols on the switches themselves , but watch out there's a hidden one behind one of the panels !! When I first put it back the middle switch button symbols were still green while the rest blue....very irritating !! I get all my LED's in from China , better range and way cheaper .

Hi Ryan, I have a spare CF controller with a good screen. I purchased from Rich for $250 but I need to fix my a/c system as compressor makes a VERY bad noise so I am open to offers. Regards RJET

Hey Rob.... how about free postage
Boys and girls.....
I have started doing the LED change. The first switches I have done is the TEMS/Power/hi,low and I tell you they looked fantastic when I put them in last weekend but to my dismay when I got in the car today they would not light up! Jay car advised me not to use heat shrink so I didn't and i suspect I have shorted the circuit? do you lot have any other suggestions? where is the fuse located for that light circuit? do I need to replace the LEDS & Resistors as well if i have shorted it out?
I've also changed all of the light switches and door lock lights in the doors, the drivers automatic stwitch is a bit dicky now but I don't think anything can be done, it feels as though a spring has gone astray somewhere.....
so all up it has been a tumultuous time but I refuse to give in and we'll see the result in a couple of months....
