Hi All,
I haven't had my Celsior for that long but just recently I noticed my temperature gauge is showing that the engine is quite hot....it can get up to the 3/4 mark which is a bit worrying. I know there's a lot of things it could be but I did notice when I started my car this morning after it was parked all night that the temperature gauge was already up just under a quarter. Could I have a faulty gauge or is it something more sinister? I know it's hard to tell without looking at it but just wondering if anyone's had a similar problem. Thanks guys.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply. I guessed it could just be my gauge which is a relief. I spoke to the guy I bought it off and he said that when he bought it he had the same problem. He took it to his friend who's a mechanic and he fixed it but didn't know how...then I managed to somehow to break it again hehe. Well at least I know what it is. Thanks!

Hi Brendan,
Will do. Still have to find out what's causing it yet because I haven't heard back from the guy who I bought it off but when I do I'll be sure to post it.

I have posted how to fix this in the past its just the gauge, you need to take out the cluster and reset the pin to zero simple as. same goes for the tachos in the celsiors they tend to fall off and the temp gauges seem to raise. just remember to remove the neg battery terminal before taking the cluster out or you will get a airbag light

David is spot on , have done several needle repairs myself, just don't push down on the needle too hard when you do it otherwise it will be set too far down and will foul up . It's better to disconnect the earth on the batt but as long as you don't turn the ignition on while the cluster is out then the air bag warning light doesn't come on,either disconnect the batt or leave the key out just to be safe !!

Can you do the same with an inaccurate fuel guage? mine reads 3/4 tank when its full but it gets more accurate as you get lower in the tank. once again i think this is a pretty common problem.

Sure they can have a few issues but mine has 260,000 Kms on it and apart from replacing all of the suspension bushings I have not had to do a thing to keep it going. They are a top quality car to own, couldn't be better and I wouldn't swap it for anything in the same price range.

Yep top cars, I say they are high preventive maintenance and if driven hard your asking for trouble, But drive them with care, replace all the old rubbers and bushes, change oil on time, and in reality even if you end up spending 3-4grand on making the car drive like new again, its still great value and unique, I got 2 celsiors and they are tops still selling one tho for some turbo power, im over going slow everywhere haha.
