Hi All,
I know this is a common problem but my front lip is completely cracked with holes through it so I'm looking for a new one. However, in the wreckers I have tried none of them have any in stock. I was just wondering if anyone knows where to find one in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area or in Australia that has cheap postage.
If it is too hard to find one, is it possible to repair the one I have?
Apparently there are two types of front lips as well and Dave if you're reading this you may be able to help me explain which lip I have as I am unsure.

There are two types of front lip,the one that goes all the way across and the other type that only goes in 1/4 from each side and then tapers off to nothing. Haven't been able to work out why it is so.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies. It is the one that goes all the way around. I was thinking of 'bogging' it up but got told that it would just crack and flake off...
Also, while I'm on the topic, I am also looking out for a 'rear lip'. Probably not the right terminology but its the guard that's behind the rear wheels that tapers off to nothing when it reaches the rear bar. One of my rear lips is ripped so might as well replace it while I'm going.

Yep Rich Is correct in regards to the different types of lip, that was exactly what I was referring to, I have attached a Picture of my front bumper so you can see the mini little lip on the side, I know were you can get a set of these if your interested, I think your better off getting an aftermarket item anyhow, personal favorite being the wald executive kit its same kinda thing as the factory item but much more sexy, But in saying that, when lowered (not superlow just my normal driving height my front bumper just misses driveways, remember the current one is cracked for a reason and that was before you even put the height controller in so the car would of been at standard height. I would kill one if I had one haha.
Oh and btw cassie, What you been doing missio havent heard from you in a while.

Both sides of mine are damaged as well and seeing as my bumper is coming off to be painted I'm going to remove the lip and leave it off . I think I'll get some new 1/4 ones in from Japan and leave it at that.

Hi Andrew, Mine looks like that too although mine actually has holes through the centre of it also. I would love a new one as at the moment it's making the car look terrible and run down. I'm not much of a fan of aftermarket ones (sorry Dave) so I'm stuck trying to find old ones that look exactly the same as mine
And Dave, would love to know where I can get these parts from. I think you've mentioned it before but I never got the place where they might have some in stock.
Anyone have any ideas on how you could possibly repair them?? Or am I just pushing my luck?
O and off topic and I know it's been mentioned a few times on this forum but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. All I have to say really is TRC light. It comes on almost every time I drive and more worryingly so does my engine oil light (only for a for seconds and every now and then). Can someone point me to a thread or another site that may help me fix the problem. Sorry it's off topic but while I'm going thought I'd ask.

TRC will come on when: * TRC is activated * TRC has failed * The difference between the rolling diameters of your front and rear tyres is too great.
If you know its not the 3rd one, bridge Ts and E1 together and the dash lights should flash codes (same as CEL).
As for the oil light, is it the orange one (oil level) or the red one (oil pressure) ? If its the red one, potentially panic If its the orange one, and you know your oil level is ok, its probably just a dicky sensor.}

Thanks Andrew,
It could possibly be all three of those. I'm servicing the car this weekend so hopefully it will help it a bit. How do I determine if it's the third option? Anyway sorry I will leave it at that and open a new thread if need be. Thanks for your help!
Also, I was speaking with someone at work about repairing front bars and he doesn't have a Celsior but said he repaired his bar by sanding it and putting fibre glass patches on the the holes and sanding it back. Of course you'll have to paint it after, but could this be a solution?

Save your time Cassie, Your probably just going to break it again anyway, Noticed that no one has one that isn't broken. Repair is no doubt possible but price wise its not justified unless you did it yourself, google body kit repair diy, fiber glassing is easy. I will keep and eye out for one for you anyway if thats the only option you will take.
And you dont like the wald lip kit? Errrr are you telling me that this here black celsior isnt dam sexy! If you think no then you must have bad taste really bad taste hahaha. Look at that sexy front lip and look at the factory one that looks like melted down wheelie bins, I think the answer is obvious as to which is more appealing to the eye. Well thats my opinion anyway.

That Wald lip is lower than factory, and I scrape the factory one on just about everything. Imagine how long it would take to wreck the Wald one. It would only be a matter of hours. And assuming its fibreglass, it would pretty much be ruined.
Toyota use rubberised plastic on most of their cars, because they can take a heap of punishment and not show damage. The Celsior one only shows damage on the little ducts. Without those you wouldn't see it.

Ok I'll admit, the lip looks better than I thought. In my mind I had a big chunky vertical plastic thing hanging off the front of the car but this doesn't look that bad. I thought I would have trouble finding a lip as everyone who has a Celsior seems to have these issues so this may be the only option I have since I really want to repair it...as you may have noticed hehe.

I got an entire front bar off a mob near rocklea somewhere i think, Import wreckers, look them up in trading post. Do a search for ls400 or celsior on trading post site and see if they come up.
Come to think of it I don't think I had a front lip on mine and mine looked good
