Could someone please tell me how to remove the Fusible Links (circled in red below) in the fuse and relay compartment next to the battery. I've tried pulling them out but don't want to destroy them. Have searched the manual but can't find instructions to do it.

8mm and 10mm spanners

You need to remove all the plastic stuff surrounding them, it mostly clips off. Try not to break it off.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PULL THE FUSIBLE LINKS OUT WITH PLIERS etc.. UNLESS BOTH THE 8MM AND 10MM BOLTS ARE REMOVED FROM EITHER SIDE. They should come out with the need of a pulling tool once the two bolts are removed. They are color coded to their AMPERAGE.

Wait.....they make manuals for these cars?

I wouldnt know mate :-). As far as I can remember, all fuseable links in automobiles are 8mm/10mm retained.

Remove the whole fuse box holder base to get the inside bolts. The hold down points for the fuse box cover are dual purpose, where the cover bolts screw into it, you can put a deep socket onto that threaded bit on both the rods, and undo them to move the entire fuse holder out of the way
