This is a rough guide and its what I do when I need to remove the strut. First thing first Chris, Go to your boot, to the left is your toolkit, flick the switch inside that to OFF position.
Loosen your wheel nuts, jack the car up and remove the wheel.
Locate your airline and remove the rubber cover, slowely un-do the airline and you will hear the air releasing however I normally just un-do it fast and get it over and done with but thats up to you.
On top of the struts, un-do the 3 nuts there, and then at the bottom of the strut is a bolt and nut, that needs to be undone as well, and then with no air in the strut, you should be able to compress it and take it out nice and easy. Any troubles mate, just PM me and I will give you my mobile number if U need more advice.

thanks a million for that advice Brendan and Andrew. Had to get a bigger floor jack and some jaw pullers to complete the job, but what a relief it was to not have to remove the suspension just to take out 2 bolts. Worked like a charm! and the new UCA's made a big difference too.
