Hi Everyone,
It's been awhile since I've written on here so I have a few questions about my Celsior.
As you may or may not be aware I'm not that great with the technicalities of cars like most of you on here so please bare with me.
My first issue is my boot latch no longer opens my boot. I have to open it with my key. Is this a common issue and where would be the first place to start by fixing this?
The next issue I have is a bit hard to explain so I know I may not be able to get it resolved without taking it to someone but I thought I'd try anyway. My car seems to start up fine in the mornings but when I drive it home from work or it has been left in the sun for a few hours the car seems to die before starting. To give you an example, when I turn the key in the ignition it sounds like its not very healthy then the car appears to die (all the revs drop down) and then a second later it will turn on. I'm assuming it may be a fuel pump issue but I'm not sure. (Speaking of fuel my car smells like fuel at the end of the day too not sure if this is common). Hopefully that explanation made sense. Even though my car is running now I'm worried that it may be dying.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear it. Thanks for all your help in advance!

What Peter said.
Theres a place in the middle of the boot latch/fuel lid where a button resides. When pushed in, it locks the boot release mechanism from inside the vehicle, meaning you have to use a key.
Put your key in this button and turn, and it will pop back out.

Cassie have a look at the nylon spud that releases the catch , if it hasn't been lubed for a while it can get an edge in it and not release , try and see if it has this catch point on it , you can file it out or also try some Lanolin lubricant on it . As to the fuel issue , when was the last time you had a new filter installed ? Also take care with repeated starting in short succession as it will richen up and this might be the fuel smell? Does having a full tank make any difference ?

Hi guys thanks for your feedback. I haven't done much testing yet but I will over the weekend. I did however try to unlock the boot lock but that didn't seem to work.
I've had the car since January and have not put a new filter on it (I've put an oil filter but nothing to do with the fuel).
I think having a full tank may increase the petrol smell (you can smell it more outside the car then in but if the car has been sitting for awhile is travels inside the car). I filled it up last night and realised my cap doesn't seem to click when I close it anymore so the smell may be contributing from that. Ryan do you happen to have a fuel cap by any chance?
I will also run the diagnostic on it also. I did one for my TRC light just recently...which went away and is now back.....Celsiors...I don't have a clue what they're doing half the time.
But anyways, will have a closer look this weekend at your suggestions and let you know. Thanks again really appreciate it!

Hi All,
Just an update. I'm still yet to get the boot to work but I can hold off on that one.
For some unknown strange reason my car seems to have fixed itself. On the weekend my suspension was playing up and my 'Normal' suspension light was blinking and I couldn't change the height on my height controller. It did this for about a day (even after turning off the car and on several times that day) then stopped and rectified itself the following day. My TRC light that used to come on everytime I drove it has now not appeared for a few days and my car seems to start fine....I have no idea if this is a coincidence or my car just has a mind of its own!
I tried to do the diagnostics but I could not find where to put the shorting link. I assumed that I would find it under the boot lock but I couldn't find FP and B+. Is there another diagnostics port in the engine bay somewhere?
I assume something in my car is playing up but I'm not sure what controls the TRC, the height and the fuel.
O and my car also does not smell like fuel anymore! Seriously, this car needs some talking to haha!

cold start valve is stuck on causing overfueling to motor when it has already warmed up, making it idle rough, so in the mornings like you explained it runs fine but after work it does not run very well is due to this problem how do i know? well the same thing happened to me and i fixed it and everything is all good
