Hi everyone, Just seeking some assistance on where abouts to get brake pads please. I’m in the Wollongong area, willing to visit Sydney, I have an 89 Celsior, and was after pads that don’t squeal, don’t wear the disks out prematurely, have wear indicators, have good braking capability, have a good life, are reasonable in price, and don’t dust up your wheels. Front and rear pad codes are 1209 and 1234. Can anyone out there help me, with advice, or pads which have been tried. Thanks in advance, Fran

Fran if you find such a pad can you get some for me too ?? Lucas make the original factory pad and they meet most of your criteria except they are a bit dusty , that's what I run on my car although 95 and later as I have 4 piston calipers fitted , they work well and don't eat disc's. I have heard that the Bendix Ceramic pads are good and not too dusty , but I don't know that personally and going back a while I loathed Bendix as they where always hard and ate disc's . I have been told that they are not like that anymore ? Green Ceramic pads are supposed to be very good but they cost twice as much . If you do a search on Club Lexus you will find out all you need to know as those guys are fanatics about this kind of thing !! Here is the link: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/
Bendix are good pads, EBC Green stuff are more expensive but have a good reputation and from what i've heard aren't too bad with dust.
As for squealing, you have to make sure the anti-squeal shims are still installed, and have a good rotor surface.
Those part numbers are Bendix part numbers :
Front - DB1209
Rear - DB1234.
Bendix pads have wear indicators.
Bendix have different grade pads, such as General CT, Heavy Duty and Ultimate.
There may be tradeoffs if your using Heavy Duty and Ultimate grades such as Increased brake dust, increased wear and rotors wearing out quicker, like I mentioned, MAY. So you'll have to do your research.
From what I have heard, Ultimate generate more brake dust.
For normal day to day driving Bendix CT's are fine.
