Mine just came with it so I'm keeping it there. So what? It's an import so not many people would know anyway. Not like those wanker Holden Commonwhores and Utes with Chevy badges GOD it's still a Holden.

On my first date with my girl, I met a couple of her ditzy friends. They were very impressed that I drove a Lexus. And were very excited for my girl cos Lexus owners are cashed up, they told her. Funny. So yeah, removing the T and replacing it with an L equals wank factor. Can get you laid too, that's always a bonus! But at the end of the day, whether it be Lexus L badge or Toyota T badge, Lexus IS Toyota.

Lexus badges on Soarers/Celsiors aren't too bad. But Chevrolet badges on Commodores is a no-no.

Exactly as Fran said, it for the general public that are not into imports. People see you have a lexus and go "WOW! how did you afford a lexus!" When say you gotta a Toyota Celsior, They just assume its some kind of camry, probaly a wierd pertol electric hybrid or something. And from a basic design point of view, I like the lexus "L" logo over the Toyota "T" plus it doesnt help that that is slapped over every corolla and targo! Its the same basic reason why Toyota created lexus in the 1st place, they know the name Toyota doesnt have any wow factor. Or "wank" factor if you wanna call it but I disagree wank factor is for celsiors with "20" DUB" badges on them hahaha

LOL @ LHD = Lexus, guess the aussie delivered lexus's ar all LHD then are they? HAHA Celsior forum is allowed to cover topics that soarer boys have many many times, because you will find most of the people in this section dont ventre into the soarer stuff.

yer mine is an oz del lexus, and i must admit - if it were a toyota badge i'd probably badge the rear a lot quicker....but i am kinda proud of what the lexus badge represents with this car - toyota's 1 billion dollar effort to push into the prestige car market against the big boys, and redefining the game. admittedly a rebranding was required, but i guess that's the message right there - if toyota thought they could do it in foreign markets under the toyota badge, they would have.... bit OT, but, does anyone know if the lexus badge has holes behind it? or is it held in to the body work and will leave holes if removed?

Holes are under the badges and they don't match , can't even swap the boot lids as the tail-light and lock doesn't match either . Lexus stands for L uxury EX port U nited S tates , that's where the name came from , just remember that as the Lexus brand name wasn't introduced into Japan until 2005 that makes all Lexuses rebadged Celsiors !!

So if I decide to re-badge my Toyota Celsior, from a T to an L, I will be doing my honest little Toyota a favour. I have a few Ls that would look a lot nicer on the car as opposed to the budget T. But I'm not sure if the naming to a LEXUS CELSIOR would be fitting or appropriate. What do you think?

Basically whatever the reason you do it, its just another form of label bashing. Personally I shop for my clothes at Hellensteins and Farmers, are usually quite happy with supermarket brand cereal, and am proud to drive a car as reliable and well built as a Toyota - probably loads of people look down their noses at me, but I don't care.

When people see you drive a Lexus then saw the Toyota badges on it,the confused reaction on their faces is something money can't buy. It's even better when you're being followed by a Lexus driver trying to figure out whether they had been duped into buying a Toyota.I would prefer to stay with the Celsior badges for this reason .

But a Celsior badge and the Lexus badge will look odd together. Not to the Ford and Holden clone gang, but to a Lexus and/or Toyota enthusiast. Or will they just fit like long lost cousins?

With the kit I have on my car most people have no clue what it is. I've been asked if it's a Lexus by a lot of people but I've actually had people say 'wow it's nice to see something new from Japan instead of boring WRXs and Skylines' I'm not putting a Lexus badge on it because the Celsior has more features anyway :p
