is anyone familiar with the integration relay? specifically location, symptoms of failure, testing and if so where i can get a replacement for how much?

think i cooked mine this weekend wiring up some lights.

looks like this

Location is up under the steering column on the fuse panel... trick is though its on the other side of the fuse panel.

If you are looking for one I suggest you pull your old one out first because there are a couple of different ones and you may purchase the wrong one (like I did) I paid $80 delivered from Japan for mine which was from Yahoo Auctions.

ok so to get this straight, it is on the underside of the dash, to the RIGHT of the steering column?

what shrouds to i need to remove?

i was under the impression i had to remove the lower part of the dash cover. and then that cream coloured fuse junction where all the blade fuses are, i need to drop that somehow, and it's on the top side of that. correct?

and can it be removed and the car function ok? or does the car need it to be in order to function.

its weird because the ONLY thing that has gone out has been my interior lights and nothing else. everything else works perfectly. your help would be appreciated as i've spent hours searching and not learnt a lot!

If you climb in and under the dash you will see the standard interior fuse box... you have fuses on one side of the panel but on the top side of the fuse panel you have relays, this is where the integration relay is. Its a fairly big relay.

From what I saw the car does function but I dont know what else you loose by not having it working properly, my issue was I had lost headlights completely. I would be very careful working around this area, disconnect the battery as the air bag wires are in the same place.

What you neeed to do is remove the lower dash panel, and loosen the fuse panel you should be able to have enough movement to remove the integration relay but it is fiddly.

not as of yet. got some decent leads from some knowledgeable fellas on other forums.

if it works in my favour, it should be a 20c fix.

havent pulled out the unit though, so once i do that i'll know more and i will certainly let you know the results.

Just wondering if mine has the same problem, the interior light functions fine when on the "on" switch, but when i open the doors when its on "door" it does not. I read somewhere the relay box requires a resistor replacement ? Any one had experience with this ?
