Hi guys,

As suggested in the subject title, I have a sunroof leak.

I have done a search on the forums for the leak causes, but this only address the clogging of the drains which have already been checked.

At the moment the sunroof actually sits lower that the roof line which allows water to pool a little, as well as this, there is also a fine gap at the rear passenger side corner of the sunroof, which I believe allows alot more water in than otherwise would get through.

Is there away to adjust the sunroof itself?

Brendon, shims are used to higher glass ,also once you get it level you can slide foam rubber strips to expand the rubber window seal (there are small vent holes nr corners) to stop noise and water

In my opionon ALL sunroofs leak.
What you need to do is clear all the drains.
Remove the inner roof skin, and you'll see a ~12mm hose going from each corner of the sunroof going down there respective A and C pillars.
You need to make sure this hose is clear, and the drain point is as well.
Its common after this long for leaves and crud to get stuck in there.

Mine used to leak into the car a fair bit, cleaned the drains and the problem never came back.
I know waster still gets in (20 year old sunroofs will NEVER seal properly), but the water just drains straight out.

Going on for 7 years and never had a leak from my sunroof. 4 of those 7 years the Soarer was sitting outside 24/7 too. Of course the damn thing still rattles despite several afternoons spent adjusting it.

Keeping all the rubber in good condition helps. I give all the rubber on my car a good treatment of silicone every winter.

After going through every possible listed reason for my moonroof leaking ! It ended up being none of them, it was the weather strip running along the roof. I noticed 1mm to 2mm lift pionts on the outer seal to the roof. I got someone to spray a little water sideways at the roof and presto! Water in my face.
Now to find out if there is an easy fix or a replacment job.
I hope this might help with others who can not find there leak.
