Thank you, I now really don't care anymore.
Despite what everyone was saying to me before I proved just better brakes alone would stop you in less distance, I now have shown a comparison between rotor sizes and I'm letting the customers decide.
I have sold 3 sets already and the rest are available on E-bay tonight as a buy it now for $500 a set.

What a strange response

Everyone was saying that you fix the weakest link and that is not usually the brakes themselves, but there are ways of determining what best to fix next, while if one element is a limiting factor, changing another will not improve things. You are attacking a furphy entirely of your own making.

Indeed, and I tried to help by improving and extending your analysis. Do you prefer less-informed customers or is information something you find hard to handle? Did you miss the fact that I spoke in favour of larger brakes?

Very good. I am genuinely happy for you and on another occasion may have been a customer myself but, nowadays, it is not at all clear why I bother with any of this.

David, I thanked you for your advice.
Yes, I am very touchy lately. I once asked "if I install genuine F1 rotors and disks I won't stop in a shorter distance from 100kph?" and I was told, "If the F1 car weighed the same, had the aerodynamic aids removed and had the same tyres fitted then they should stop in the same distance." (not by you)
Also this gem... "Bigger brakes wont help you stop any quicker, this is govened by the traction of the tyres, They just last a bit longer before they fade."
More horseshat!
I proved the armchair scientists wrong. (not you)
Yes, I am very touchy lately, I had to go to huge lengths to show and prove that just a good choice calliper change will stop a car in a shorter distance, no tyre change, by not using a slide rule but by quoting people's personal, real life measurements.
You see, I really no longer wish to persue the science of it, I have shown that bigger callipers and rotors will stop a car in less distance and I have offered a cheaper and easier to get alternative to the Supra option despite the armchair detractors.
I am pissed that potential buyers have been put off by the science overkill on this subject. The emails from potential customers has been very distressing.
Well, here's some support for you Jeff, I took another (unnamed to protect the innocent) ALSC member for a quick spin this afternoon. He enquired about the Supra brakes so I gave them a demo, and remarked about how much quicker they stopped than their ABS equipped TT. I do not have ABS, only Supra 4 pot fronts/2 pot rears and a steady right foot.
Not scientific enough to satisfy some minds on here, but personal experience which reflects your claims Jeff.

Absolutely Don!
So much about cars simply doesn't translate to figures in a spreadsheet. To me $500 for way better braking is a no brainer. I've done V8, TT and Celsior brakes so for me it's the feel, not the numbers.

As nobody would have noticed , I took a day off before reading again. I appreciate that you took my analysis constructively Jeff, as I intend it. I am not about to alter either physics or my interest in its consequences but if I am confusing anyone feel free to contact me about it. Both ends of the spectrum matter.
I am probably depressed at having to pull out of the cruise yesterday
